NFL free agency starts on March 13 of what it does start there's a bumper crop of free agent wide receiver set to hit the market one of them is Brandon Lloyd. Formerly of the St. Louis Rams he joins us now from Denver Brandon how you. I'm doing get our dorm on that solicit -- GA Maddon. 2013. Game comes out at the end of the year who is going to be the cover boy you are in the bracket. Right now I go to Maddon FaceBook page you have aspirations to be on the cover. Well that. It's always something that I always wondered about -- -- being that I am of -- on the gamer an avid gamer. And it's in this quarter see that the finalists. People who her. Available to be on the covers is made available for people to see so. It's cool if it happens that'll be great if not I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna lose any sleep over not gonna -- but I do I have enough. But I would like to see -- -- on the cover that game let me tell you want to -- the faced a lot of red and you would also have the uniform and helmet ripped. Helmet and uniform could top four seed itself -- wary. I don't know you know do whatever the best that is. But when you're heading toward -- -- -- -- you can you just describe your feelings as you do head toward free agency -- must be an exciting time. For you have the opportunity. To go on the open market and have the interest shown. It's it's it's very it's it's a lot of fun. Going through free agency. Again and then and this time -- in. The top tier and player. Is exciting you know so it's not really. An issue of it if it's gonna happen -- when and where. And wherever I go it's going to be a good situation is going to be a good fit because I'm have all the of them have all the facts and make a decision. Based on what's gonna what's gonna work for her. For me and how I can. Help the team that I go to so I'm very excited 2010 in 2011 few Brandon have been real breakout seasons. And both were in situations where you're along with Josh McDaniels what is it about his offense. In his style of coaching that has helped you really flourish. Throughout I think it comes down to trust -- trust me. And I trust him. And and the fact that he knows that I'm going out there and make plays for for whoever the quarterback is not -- thrown the ball on -- And I know he's gonna put me in good situations and -- can be successful. I think if you want to routes the Rwandan and you know he really. He treats me like -- a true number one receiver in the sense that I get to do. All of the things that are got to make it that make the team prepare for for me. And and they did not prepare and other. Facets of our offense and and and helps everybody to be successful you know we had a Jabar Gaffney had right two -- some years there in Denver. And you know a lot of receivers there Heather over 4550 catches so. It it is it's this it's just the creativity and how he's able to get everybody involved in the game and and incorporate explosive plays in there along with their possession place I think one of the interesting things about your skill set is your ability to compete for a ball in the air. And downfield and you are. A track athlete who -- high -- high jumped seven foot two inches in high school you still get the ups. That's -- got the I -- together they get -- have been going their reckless and do the -- did you Begin of that that's Mathis -- the the videos that allowed us at the you broke it is -- nice been sixteen and seventeen years old and have no fear. You might wanna lay off of that until after free agency OK after you get stagnant didn't look at the high jump -- We on the record you had said you know during the season wherever she watches you would like to be. And I know with free agency you do have to keep your options open so much opinion down but how interested are you would it at least exploring the opportunities. To see with the New England Patriots might have to call. Very interest in and -- I think earlier. I'm -- coach bill I admired Tom Brady admire how. They run things over there and and and you know I think for any receiver. Had the considered. That to come in and and play on the New England -- going to be a picture's going to be excited. And just because of the history of success though I'm sure once you start talking to Mike Wallace -- Vincent Jackson they're gonna have the same excitement but. I think it's just different for me because I do you have. An immediate connection with coach mcdaniels and and I have had. Two years of success with them so. My name comes up and and I get to -- quotes about itself is when it's official and it and it and it when it's official. You know then I'll really start. Visualize and picture myself there and seeing how things work out. And I wanna say with them it's interesting would do it with right now let's be upfront about it in the NFL you have small window. And more unnecessarily it's vital that you make as much money because I'm like my professional many other professions. Your window to make money is when your in your twenties and early thirties not when you're in your thirties forties and fifties. That being said Brad is winning. Or monetary. Stability. The highest priority for you going forward. Winning is definitely the highest priority I think that you know I've been in the league for ten years now. And and an and I don't look at the NFL last. Up a place right can poured money and wrap I put might get as much money as I possibly can't get this thing into the world. It's a career and I've I've put together a nice career and and I think that. I -- be put in the position to where I can -- the playoffs and see. My talents on that stage and be able to help the team forward in the playoffs and that that's that's number one goal. You know I'm I'm pretty happy with -- Financially. And and really wanna be with the right -- One last question I had just about the rise that you had from here's the start of your career to now which goes through a little bit of a survivor and a guy who can learn. From difficult situations and adversity. Can you explain the road that you path. The path that you have have gone along to the point where here and when he twelve. You're on the verge of being very sought after player. Yeah. I think it's. You know it's it's sort of perseverance and determination. I never. And in my private time and I looked in the -- and analyze my career. Going through my toughest time was when -- left Washington Redskins when I was released. I didn't I didn't blame anybody and I and I think that's. The number one attribute that helped me. Continue to push forward. I have a passion and extreme passion and extreme left for this game. And and in -- -- it's going to be better and I and I said. We're not asleep in Washington that yet these people may not have believed in my talent but. If I stay in this league long enough probably eventually reach my maximum potential -- and and and out and some wondered really believe in me and give me an opportunity opportunity. To show my eyes to my ability on the stage and really believe -- me give me a chance to help the team and and that -- happen. In Denver with coach mcdaniels and and so here I am today well congratulations on everything that's behind you absolutely everything that's in front of you and who might be talking to you before to want to get. To follow Brendan on Twitter -- what you handle. Mister B -- okay that's at mr. BL LO YD -- and thanks for the time.
