We got our kids you webs on I'm joined now by Tommy turner Patriots insider for CS NNE dot com. Tom are you a bit surprised the Patriots didn't hold the bus for cope and at least a little while longer -- that's an awfully good football player that turned the page on here. It is might put you on the 53 guys they have on the roster they really need all them and they're gonna operated. 52 guys and one injured setter for the next nine weeks that's a problem and I think the Patriots had to make the decision. Not because they don't want to use -- the later in the year but because of the injuries. On defense especially at the safety position where those guys not only play in the regular defense but also on special teams. They had to move -- and out so that they can get some depth to help them on special teams I think that really is where the issue. Lives. -- replacement is Dan Connolly college history Tom says He struggles of the bigger stronger players. Lot of teams in this league that I can put a big body on the knows He can't handle that week in and -- out. Of course they like to put a big body on the nose that's what that position calls for and I do think that Dan Connolly is up work -- Last week against San Diego He stood up well in the game. Game -- a week to completely shut down a guy like that -- he'll need some help. The Patriots are going to be some help but I think overall game probably has been pretty good. Not very open -- it I think this could be dangerous injury going forward for the Patriots have to deal with but. This is what they have to deal with. Yeah at an outside having a guy like Brian Waters on one -- Logan Mankins on the other flank you -- Patriots thought they remade their defensive line bigger stronger. Older Myron -- a large human younger but quick for his size. How big a loss is this of that pats. I think it's significant because you've heard through two weeks like the Patriots talk about the great rotation they've had up front and the ability to get everybody some time off the field. To recharge their batteries. Myron Pryor and Mike Wright has been the two best young interior pass rushes for this football team. Now Myron Pryor is Don and Mike Wright is still dealing with the after effects of the concussion. Suffered in week one edition of the problems He had previously tonight got the two best interior pass rushers. -- -- foreseeable future. For the rest of the season from prior. Who steps up hit Albert Haynesworth. Play three down the defense we haven't seen that conditioning yet from him. He was dipped a little bit last week in terms of performance in the opener I think all those players are gonna have to raise their games.
