The Revs have signed 18-year-old Diego Fagundez to a multiple-year contract extension. The team did not release other details about the deal.
“We’re pleased that Diego has made the commitment to remain in New England,” Revolution general manager Michael Burns said in a statement. “While he’s only 18, we believe he has a very bright future with our club and in Major League Soccer.”
Fagundez, from Leominster, Mass., is the Revolution's only home-grown player. He became the third-youngest player (15 years, 273 days) to sign an MLS contract when he signed with the Revs in 2010.
Since his debut in 2011, Fagundez has made 27 appearances, scoring four goals and making three assists.
