The second half of the New England Revolution's regular-season schedule kicks off on Saturday night as the Houston Dynamo come to Gillette Stadium in what will be a showdown for the fifth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Both New England and Houston picked up wins over the weekend, and the Dynamo enter Saturday's match holding that fifth and final playoff spot in the East, with 26 points on a 7-6-5 record. That's two more points than the Revolution's 24.
A win would move the Revs ahead of Houston in the standings. It would also be the second time New England would defeat the Dynamo.
The Revolution went into Houston back on May 18 and left with a 2-0 win.
If New England wants to jump up into that final playoff spot, it will have to be done without forward Juan Agudelo, who will mis his third straight game with a right knee sprain.
