FOXBORO -- The New England Revolution took advantage of a Los Angeles club that showed up to Gillette Stadium a half hour before the scheduled start time, scoring a regular-season high five goals and embarrassing the Galaxy, 5-0, on Sunday.

Heavy traffic forced Los Angeles to arrive in Foxboro at 4 pm for a 4:30 start, pushing the game back to a 4:53 start.

The Revs then took a 1-0 lead into the second half after Saer Sene finished a pretty give-and-go with Diego Fagundez in the 33rd minute.

In the second half, New England saw goals from Lee Nguyen, Fagundez, Chad Barrett, and Kelyn Rowe to complete the Revolution win.

Nguyen's goal put the Revs up 2-0 and came in the 72nd minute as he cut across the top of the box from the right wing and put home a cross-body shot with his left foot into the low-right corner of the net.

Fagundez made it 3-0 in the 87th minute as he took a pass from Rowe inside the box, stepped in and put it in the net with his right foot.

Barrett and Rowe added the fourth and fifth goals in extra time, as it seemed Los Angeles' defense had all but given up on the game.
