Preview: Revolution vs. Rapids

New England Revolution coach Jay Heaps doesn't believe his team is being defeated. He believes they're losing, and hurting themselves.

Either way, the Revs enter Wednesday night's match against the Colorado Rapids with a 2-5 record, and stand in second-to-last place in the Eastern Conference.

The Revolution have lost their last three games, with the most recent being a 1-0 loss in new York against the Red Bulls on Saturday night. During this three-game losing skid, the Revs have only scored one goal, in a 2-1 loss at D.C. United on April 14. The first of the three straight losses was also a shutout, as they lost 1-0 to FC Dallas on April 5.

New England had only three games in the month of April. They will hope that the month of May will bring about some more wins, which means, they'll have to start scoring.

The Revs are tied with Philadelphia as the second-worst offense in the MLS, with only five goals. That's one more goal than the worst offense in the league in Chivas USA, who only have four goals scored.

Colorado comes to Gillette Stadium as the fifth-place team in the Western Conference (out of nine), with a 4-4 record.

They'll face a Revolution squad that will be without Ryan Guy (calf), Flo Lechner (metatarsal fracture), Sainey Nyassi (hamstring), Jeremiah White (concussion), and Zak Boggs (DL - R ankle sprain), according to Tuesday's injury report.
