Jaguars' owner Khan: ‘Nobody's been happy with' Deflategate

FOXBORO - Shad Khan, owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, offered a mild commentary on Deflategate in advance of his team’s London game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

"Nobody's been happy with it, I think, how it's turned out," Khan told Yahoo Sports. "It's quite a learning moment.”

Khan repelled additional comment saying, “that thing is still going on; I don’t think it’s been resolved.”

But his displeasure, it seems, is directed more at the NFL’s league office stepping on itself repeatedly during the investigation, disciplining and appeals process.

Speaking generally to Yahoo Sports, Khan said the popularity of the league means the scrutiny of processes is going to be intense. Every step needs to be measured.

"Really more than anything it speaks to the power of football," Khan said. "That people care so much about it, which obviously tells you these are things that have to be handled thoughtfully and carefully."

As for Goodell?

"He's a human being," Khan said. "You can go back and say we could have done this better. All in all he's done a great job."
