Jayson Tatum reacts excitedly to Coach K's appearance at TD Garden

Not since Jayson Tatum left Duke University has Mike Krzyzewski been able to see him play in an NBA game.

That finally changed Wednesday night, when the recently retired Blue Devils coach attended Game 2 between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets at TD Garden.

"I was thrilled when he told me he was coming to the game," Tatum said. "It's the first game he's been able to come see me play in person since I left Duke."

Coach K also had two other former Duke players in the game, both playing for the Nets, in Kyrie Irving and Seth Curry.

He left TD Garden as a witness to Tatum's Celtics taking a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Nets, as the 2016-17 All-ACC forward overcame an off night shooting to finish with 19 points, 10 assists and six rebounds in a 114-107 win.

With plenty of time now on his hands, as Tatum noted, perhaps Coach K will be able to take in more of his former star's games should the Celtics progress in the postseason.
