Biden has fitting praise for Brady, Arians at White House

Age is just a number.

Nobody should recognize that more than President Joe Biden or Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bruce Arians, three men who rose to the top of their professions as the oldest to ever do so in 2021.

Biden, 78, became the oldest U.S. president to be inaugurated in January. A few weeks later, Brady became the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl (again), this time at 43 years old, making the 68-year-old Arians the oldest coach to hoist a Lombardi Trophy in the process.

As Biden honored the Buccaneers Tuesday, he said he wouldn't make any jokes about the ages of anyone.

"A lot is made about the fact that we have the oldest coach to win a Super Bowl and the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl," Biden said at the Rose Garden ceremony. "As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing wrong with being the oldest guy to make it to the mountain top. That's how I look at it."

Biden went on to say that the former New England Patriots quarterback looked as though he had "about 20 more years left."

"You're just about the best to ever play," Biden said.
