Report: Giants, Lions potential suitors for Blount

LeGarrette Blount led the NFL with 18 rushing touchdowns last season but is still looking for work.

The Patriots have apparently moved on with their acquisitions of Mike Gillislee and Rex Burkhead to go along with Super Bowl hero James White, Dion Lewis and Brandon Bolden at running back and James Develin at fullback.

Blount, who’ll turn 31 next season and gained a career-high 1,161 yards last season to go with all those TDs, is drawing interest from the Giants and Lions, according to Yahoo Sports.

The Giants and Blount were reported to have a "mutual interest" by NFL Network’s Ian Rapport last week and Lions GM Bob Quinn is a former Patriots personnel man who saw Bill Belichick acquire Blount twice while Quinn was in New England.
