Jackie Bradley Jr. to the Mariners for lefty reliever Charlie Furbush?
"Simply false," Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington texted of the off-season trade proposal, which was reported by Gordon Edes of ESPN.com.
Edes tweeted that one of the teams involved was his source for the trade proposal
Bradley, 25, the outfielder once considered a top prospect, is back with the Red Sox after starting this season at Triple-A Pawtucket. Furbush, 29, of South Portland, Maine, has a 1.80 ERA in 17 appearances this season for the Mariners.
