Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading while glad that Mike Felger isn’t my boss.
*A cool human interest story with Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid, who paid a visit to a terminally ill 10-year-old girl who also happens to be an enormous Oilers fan.
*Speaking of McDavid, NBCSN will have McDavid taking on fellow young superstar Auston Matthews tonight after their early game.
*Good TSN video piece on Brad Marchand’s evolution from one of the NHL’s rats into a goal-scoring top forward in the league.
*Count former Florida Panthers, and current Chicago D-man, Brian Campbell among those shocked that Gerard Gallant was fired.
*The Army Parachute Team is apparently looking into whether or not the Vegas franchise can use their Golden Knights moniker. Boy, this Vegas franchise has had a few false starts out of the gate, haven't they?
*The KHL had their time where they were drawing some of the best Russian players, but their recent difficulties have pushed Russian players back to the NHL.
Boston Bruins
*For something completely different: As I mentioned above, Felger has a problem with Al Horford missing a Celtics game in Miami for the birth of his child. I think most are pretty okay with that one.
