When the 2011 regular season began, the Patriots' corner tandem of the present and future was in the starting lineup.

Devin McCourty, a 2011 first-rounder on one side; rookie Ras-I Dowling, a 2012 second-rounder, on the other.

By the time the 2011 regular season ended, the Patriot who played more snaps than any other New England defender, though, was formerly undrafted corner Kyle Arrington.
