Has Tom Brady made his decision?

WEEI's Dale Arnold reported Tuesday that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will announce a new contract with the 42-year-old quarterback when he hits free agency Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.

The Athletic's Greg Auman suggested a Brady deal with Tampa Bay is in the works, but pushed back on Arnold's assertion that it's a "done deal."

Brady announced Tuesday morning he's not re-signing with the New England Patriots but didn't reveal where he intends to play in 2020.

Now, the arrow is pointing the six-time Super Bowl champion to the Bucs. Tampa brass spoke to Brady on Monday when the NFL's legal tampering window opened.

Tampa Bay is an intriguing fit for Brady from a football perspective: The team boasts talented offensive weapons in wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and tight ends O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate, and head coach Bruce Arians reportedly is willing to give Brady the offensive control he covets.

The Bucs haven't exactly been a model franchise -- they haven't made the playoffs since 2007 and finished 7-9 last season -- but with Brady in town and ample cap space, they could turn their fortunes around in 2020.

A silver lining for Patriots fans: Brady is out of the AFC and can't exact revenge on his former team unless Tampa Bay and New England reach the Super Bowl.

The Bucs visit the Patriots in 2021, though, so mark that on your calendar as you try to adjust to the bizarre scenario of TB12 in a Bucs uniform.
