White Men Can't Jump? Don't tell ‘slam dunk champ' Baynes

In Boston, Aron Baynes is known for being the 6-foot-10 red-bearded, man-bun wearing, Australian rim protector for the Celtics.

His most notable talents: defending without fouling, being strong, getting dunked on, and new to 2018, shooting threes.

In Lithuania, he is known as something else: slam dunk champion.

Back in 2010, Baynes competed in the LKL, Lithuania's top basketball league, All-Star Day slam dunk competition. Baynes, the only non-Lithuanian competing, went under the name Aronas Baynesas (possibly his own personal genus classification?).

Baynes told Chris Grenham of Celticsblog.com about the competition. “It was fun. Just ran around, enjoyed a day out there.”

In the contest, Baynes pulled out all the stops - windmills, more windmills, jumping over seated people, and even an elbow hang.
