Are Rays or Sox better equipped for stretch run?

The Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays remain the leaders in the AL East, with the Boston retaining a slim one-game lead as of now.

With each team facing around 25 games to play before the regular season comes to a close, the contenders appear near equals in a tight and tense division race.

The tough question now becomes, which team is best equipped to win the AL East and avoid the already dreaded one-game, wild-card playoff?

WEEI.com's Alex Speier offered his take on the subject on "Uno Sports Tonight," giving the key factors on each side.

"In terms of managerial experience and experience overall, you're probably talking about the Rays because they've gotten to the playoffs on a perennial basis in the last few years," Speier said. "But in terms of intangibles, clubhouse, I think that the Red Sox have brought in a number of veterans who have been postseason contenders in the past. So, that's pretty close to a wash."

So, he didn't exactly answer the question. But you can. Who do you think will be the one to take the AL East crown? Will it be the Red Sox or the Rays? Or will somebody (a.k.a. the two teams not named the Blue Jays) sneak up from further back? Have at it in the comments section.
