Neely: No Turco if Khudobin was healthy

It's not certain that Marty Turco will ever join the Boston Bruins, but Cam Neely says he certainly never would have if Anton Khudobin -- the Bruins' top minor-league goalie, who's currently suffering from an ankle injury - were healthy.
"No, we would have had Khudobin come up" to replace the injured Tuukka Rask, the Bruins' president said Tuesday during his weekly appearance on 'Felger & Mazz'. "That's why we went to the lengths we did to get him in our organization and sign him and have that protection."
But Khudobin isn't available, which is why the Bruins turned to Turco . . . which Neely admits was something of a desperation move.
"We did some research on how Turco played in Europe," he said, "but there weren't too many options for us to get ourselves a goalie that could play at the NHL level, at least for a few games and give Tim Thomas, the B's No. 1 goalie a break if need be."
