Mookie Betts' wide receiver skills draw praise from Red Sox exec

Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts is a man of many talents. He's the reigning American League MVP winner, he's a great bowler and he even runs routes like an NFL wide receiver.

We saw video evidence of that last one earlier this week.

Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski came away pretty impressed with the video of Betts playing football, and shared a cool interaction he had with the 26-year-old star at spring training this week.

Betts and the Red Sox have arrived in Fort Myers, Fla., for spring training as they prepare to defend their World Series title. The Red Sox will need another MVP-caliber season from Betts if they are going to become the first team to repeat as World Series champions since the rival New York Yankees in 2000.

Betts has plenty of motivation, too, as he eyes a gigantic contract in the near future.
