Watch Charlie McAvoy save goal with stick save behind Bruins' Tuukka Rask

The St. Louis Blues might have tied Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final in the second period if not for Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy making a stick save behind goaltender Tuukka Rask.

The puck was in the air behind Rask's back and McAvoy swatted with his stick and knocked the puck off the B's netminder and out of danger.

The puck could have rolled down Rask's back and into the net without McAvoy helping to clear it.

The Bruins survived several quality scoring chances created by the Blues in the second period and took a 1-0 lead into the intermission. Rask stopped all 19 shots he faced through two periods.
