Here's how Pastrnak made Bruins history with another 30-goal season

David Pastrnak continues to make his mark on the Boston Bruins' record books with his goal-scoring process.

The superstar right winger scored his 30th and 31st goals of the 2021-22 NHL season during the Bruins' 5-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday night.

Pastrnak scored just eight goals through the first 26 games of the season. But since the calendar flipped to 2022, no player in the league has more goals than Pastrnak's 23. He now ranks sixth in the league overall with 30 goals -- four behind Chris Kreider in third place.

Bruins should target these players if they want to go all-in at trade deadline

The 25-year-old forward also made some Bruins history with his fifth career season of 30-plus goals scored.

He's well on his way to breaking the record for the most 30-goal seasons in team history:

The only other Bruins player in history with five 30-goal seasons under the age of 26 is Hockey Hall of Famer and current team president Cam Neely.

Pastrnak has seen a huge resurgence in his performance since head coach Bruce Cassidy took him off the first line and put him with Taylor Hall and Erik Haula on the second line.

The success of this new-look second line, plus the emergence of the Trent Frederic-Charlie Coyle-Craig Smith third line, has significantly bolstered the Bruins' scoring depth, which was a weakness earlier in the season.
