The stars aligned for Kemba Walker in Boston on Saturday night.

Despite not playing in the Knicks' previous 10 games, Walker got the start for New York against the Celtics at TD Garden with several of his teammates in health and safety protocols.

That meant Walker was introduced before the game, and the Garden faithful gave the former Celtics guard a warm welcome in his first game in Boston since being traded from the C's in June.

Check out the ovation for Walker in the video player above. Here's another view of the crowd's reaction to his introduction.

Walker didn't live up to expectations in Boston, averaging 19.9 points and 4.9 assists per game but missing 55 contests over two seasons due to a lingering knee injury.

The 31-year-old was very popular among Celtics fans and players, though, maintaining a positive attitude and an unselfish mentality despite his up-and-down tenure.

Walker remains close friends with several C's players, including All-Star Jayson Tatum, who shared a laugh with his former point guard before the game.
