Casas has been swinging it well lately between Double-A Portland and Team USA. The 21-year-old first baseman homered in two straight games with the Sea Dogs on July 13 and 14, then belted a homer in Monday night's tune-up.
The future is bright.
Casas and Team USA will begin Olympic play July 30 when they take on Israel in Yokohama, Japan, followed by a game against Korea the following day. Both matchups are scheduled for 6 a.m. ET.
