It's common courtesy for the media to turn phone ringers off during press conferences. SO WHO WAS THE INCONSIDERATE REPORTER WHOSE PHONE RANG DURING THE REVOLUTION-MAN U JOINT PRESS CONFERENCE?!?!

Oh. It was Steve Nicol. The Revolution coach.

"It's the wife, I've got to answer it," said Nicol, interrupting Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand.

"Yeah, Ellie, he's here," he joked, nearly handing the phone over to Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Nicol never actually answered the call, but it was nice he committed to the joke.

He's lucky he's friends with Sir Alex. Guy's a knight.

The pair would have been crazy to imagine after the 1986 World Cup, when Sir Alex managed Nicol's Scottish team, they'd be reunited 25 years later in Massachusetts. The Revs and ManU face off Wednesday night in a friendly match at Gillette Stadium.
