Revs take home opener, first win

FOXBORO -- It took three games, but the New England Revolution scored their first goal of the regular season on Saturday, and in the process, picked up their first win of the 2012 campaign, defeating the Portland Timbers 1-0 on Saturday at Gillette Stadium.

Saer Sene scored the only goal of the game, just 28 seconds in, as he headed a Chris Tierney aerial pass from the left wing. Sene was going hard to the net and re-directed Tierney's ball off the cross-bar and in.

That would be all the Revs needed, and they now stand at 1-2 on the season.
