The New England Revolution have announced that they have signed Agentinian central defender Franco Coria. Coria will fill one of the eight alloted international roster spots pending his apprioval for a U.S. P-1 Visa. The 22 year old defenseman played for Angentina's Club Chacarita Juniors BA since 2007. He played the majority of the past four season on the teams reserve side, but managed to make 18 appearances for their first team during his career there.The six foot, 170 lbs defender made eight appearances including one start during the 2008-09 season as Chacarita saw success in Argentinas Nacional B, winning promotion to the Primera Division for the 2009-10 season. Coria started five games during the teams one-year stay in the top division, taking the field as a substitute on three occasions.
The NFL is working on a few rules recommendations dropped by Bill Belichick over the past couple of years, including testing a "boundary camera."
