Revs extinguish Fire, 2-0

FOXBORO -- Kelyn Rowe and Benny Feilhaber quickly turned a scoreless game into a 2-0 New England Revolution lead in the second half on Saturday night, as each scored four minutes apart, which was good enough to give the Revs a 2-0 win over the Chicago Fire at Gillette Stadium.

Rowe's goal put New England (5-7-1) up 1-0 in the 69th minute, after he caught a perfect pass from Feilhaber up the middle of the field, and knocked it into the low-right corner of the net with the outside of his right foot, from the top of the box.

Feilhaber then finished a nice give-and-go with Rowe in the 73rd minute, as he came streaking down the right sideline after making a touch-pass to Rowe, who quickly sent it back down to a wide-open Feilhaber for the goal.

That would be all the Revs needed on this night, as they picked up their fifth win of the season.
