Revolution signs three draft picks

FOXBOROUGH, Mass.The New England Revolution signed three of the clubs 2011 draft selections, inking deals with forwardmidfielder Ryan Kinne, forward Alan Koger and midfielder Andrew Sousa.

Kinne and Koger were 2011 MLS SuperDraft picks, while Sousa was one of the teams selections in the 2011 Supplemental Draft. Terms of their deals were not released.

We believe weve added three players in Ryan, Alan and Andrew who will have promising careers, Revolution Vice President of Player Personnel Michael Burns said in a statement. They put in a great effort during preseason to earn roster spots and all three are will provide us depth in the attack.

Kinne, 21, was a NSCAA All-American and Northeast Conference player of the year in both his junior and senior seasons at Monmouth. In 77 career games, he scored 35 goals. He was a third round selection(42nd overall) in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft.

Koger, 23, scored 10 goals in 22 matches at William and Mary. He, too, was a third round pick (54th overall) in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft.

Sousa, 21, scored seven goals and added six assists in three seasons at Providence after playing one season at Limestone College (S.C.). A Fall River native, he played his high school soccer at B.M.C. Durfee High School. New England selected Sousa in the third round (42nd overall) of the 2011 MLS Supplemental Draft.
