FOXBORO -- A week after securing a point in Los Angeles in the season opener, the New England Revolution picked up their first win of the season on Saturday at Gillette Stadium, defeating D.C. United 2-1, thanks to a pair of early goals from Zack Schilawski and Shalrie Joseph.

Schilawski made it 1-0 New England in the eighth minute, and Joseph added a second goal on a penalty kick in the 17th minute.

Charlie Davies cut the Revs' lead to 2-1 in the first minute of extra time, but it was way too late for a complete comeback.
