New England Revolution captain Shalrie Joseph will play in the 2011 Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football Gold Cup with the Grenada National Team, according a statement released by the Revolution.
Grenada included Joseph in the roster the team submitted to the CONCACAF, but the midfielder decided just this morning that he would participate in the tournament.
Joseph and the Grenada National Team will begin play on Monday, June 6. He will join the team after the Revolution's match against the LA Galaxy on May 28 and may miss up to five matches.
Joseph has made more than 20 appearances for Grenada.
