Report: Red Sox 'hopeful' deal with Napoli done soon

It's been over a month since the Red Sox and Mike Napoli agreed to terms on a three-year, 39 million deal, but still no official deal has been signed.

There were red flags that came up in the physical with Napoli believed to be concerning his hip, and that changed a few things in the initial contract offer.

But it appears as though the two sides are close to a new agreement, according to the Boston Globe's Peter Abraham.

The source tells Abraham that the Sox are "hopeful" of getting a deal done with Napoli soon.
