CHARLOTTE, N.C. Well it looks like fans will see what the Celtics look like without the Big Three -- for one night at least.
Boston will not have Ray Allen, Paul Pierce or Kevin Garnett in uniform for tonight's game against the Charlotte Bobcats.
Allen was ruled out a couple days ago because of recurring swelling in his right ankle.
As for Pierce, the Celtics have been contemplating how to get him some rest between now and the playoffs. Having him sit out of tonight's game made the most sense considering he suffered a left big toe injury near the end of Saturday night's win at New Jersey.
Garnett, arguably the most consistent player for the C's this season, is the key to Boston's dreams of a deep postseason run. Of all the Celtics, getting him some much-needed rest is vital heading into the playoffs.
