One of the most poignant parts of last week's NFL Draft was the wait for ex-BC linebacker Mark Herzlich to get drafted. The wait was in vain and the 2008 ACC Defensive Player of the Year was passed over entirely. Health concerns since he overcame cancer in 2009 are the reason he's now an undrafted free agent waiting for the NFL lockout to end so that some team will sign him. Herzlich joined us on Quick Slants to discuss the draft and what's next. "There was definitely some disappointment," Herzilich said. "At the same time,I prepared myself for that possibility. I knew that being projected as a late-round guy, you never know. Sometimes you go undrafted. Right now, thelockout restricts our access to teams and information but we're compiling lists of teams that need linebackers and seeing preliminary projections on whereI could end up or where people have interest."
