If the Patriots are following Brandon Spikes on Twitter, he probably gave them a good scare Tuesday.

According to a series of tweets, Spikes went to play basketball with a friend. About an hour later, he was apparently injured and taken to get an MRI.

On Wednesday, Drew Rosenhaus, Spikes' agent, told Pro Football Talk that Spikes did not undergo an MRI and is in "perfect" health.

Here are the tweets from Tuesday:

@bspikes55 (Spikes): Just finished working out with @deedeefbaby bout to go play on the hardwood.

@deedeefbaby: "Haha @bspikes55 so busy tryna be Jordan and busted his a--"

@deedeefbaby: "Whoa, @bspikes55 ain't getting up."

@deedeefbaby: "yo taking @bspikes55 to get an MRI. Waiting for them to put him in the car. Didn't know how serious it was"

Whether Spikes was injured or not, good to see that he eventually got some help.
