Tanguay: Breakout performance from Brissett? I called it

I was hesitant to write this column because being right all the time is getting a bit old. But, in service to myself and my three or four fans I am here to say...

“I WAS RIGHT AGAIN!”

I chatted with my man Chet while navigating the produce while handling my grocery shopping about how insane it was for the Patriots to be 3-0 thanks to their second- and third-string quarterbacks. But when you have a talent like Brissett third on your depth chart, is it really that crazy?

I realize the Jacoby wasn’t perfect. He should have been picked in the end zone and he missed a wide open Chris Hogan, but just think how good this kid will be when he enters his third season like Jimmy Garopollo.

And as we learned Friday, the kid played hurt! Not only is Brissett talented, but he can play hurt. Just like Tom.

When I said last week that the game against the Texans would impact the future of Jimmy G and Brady, I was scoffed at. Specifically, by Kirk “Enough About Me” Minihane. Of course, Thursday night mattered. If Brissett had crumbled, the Brady-for-two-or-Jimmy-for-ten debate would have raged on. Now, Belichick has a Plan B for his current Plan B.

So, there you have it. Right Again Tanguay is, well, right again. I think I should change may name to R.A Tanguay because to go with the full Right Again Tanguay would be a bit much.
