Dan Koppen, who suffered a broken ankle in Monday night's season-opening win at Miami, should be able to return before the end of the season.
There was no doubt Koppen's injury would take a while to recover from, but the fact that he should be ready in 8-10 weeks means he most likely won't be placed on injured reserve.
Dan Connolly and Ryan Wendell will probably fill in for the Patriots center during Koppen's absence.
