Former Patriot Evans to retire and join NFL Network

Former Patriot Heath Evans has retired and will join the NFL Network as an analyst.

From Evans' Twitter account:

FansFriends: I have decided 2 retire after 10 great yrs n the NFL! I have accepted a multi-yr contract w @nflnetwork & I'm n the process of moving my family to L.A. to join my new team!

The 32-year-old fullback spent more than three seasons in New England from 2005 to 2008. In 54 games with the Patriots, he rushed for 463 yards and three touchdowns. He also recorded a receiving touchdown in 2006.

More recently, he won a Super Bowl ring in 2010 with the New Orleans Saints.
