A. Sherrod Blakely is a veteran NBA journalist having covered the Boston Celtics since 2009 and the Detroit Pistons for Booth News Services and MLive.com from 2000 to 2009. A Syracuse, N.Y. native,  Blakely has broken some of the NBA's biggest stories in recent years, including the blockbuster trade of Allen Iverson to Detroit. Blakely serves as Comcast SportsNet's Celtics Insider for CSNNE.com and Chevrolet SportsNet Central. Prior to working for MLive.com, Blakely spent five years covering Duke, N.C. State and the ACC for the Raleigh (N.C.) News & Observer. Blakely is a graduate of Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Journalism.

    The Celtics blew a game that many thought was a sure win in the fourth quarter. Doc Rivers had Pierce on the bench for the majority of the fourth, allowing the Cavs to come back. Pierce didn't like that.

    It looked as if the Celtics were going to pull off their fifth straight win, but things took a turn for a worse late in the fourth, when they simply stopped scoring. C's lose, 88-87

    Semih Erden will be a free agent next season, and would be interested in playing again for the Celtics.
