FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – It’s often said that beggars can’t be choosers. And in that vein, the Revolution weren’t about to complain about the way they secured their first lead in over two months on Wednesday.
After getting beat to the board in each of their eight straight losses, a Drew Moor own goal sent the Revolution on their way to a long-awaited 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids at Gillette Stadium.
The own goal came in the 10th minute after Moor attempted to poke away a Lee Nguyen shot away from frame. Nguyen put his name on the scoresheet proper in the 75th minute, while Kelyn Rowe widened the gap in the 78th minute.
