The Revolution have announced the re-signing of goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth, who is in his seventh year with the team. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“Bobby’s development as a goalkeeper has grown tremendously during his time in New England,” Revolution general manager Michael Burns said. “We are very pleased he has decided to re-sign with MLS to continue his career in New England”

Defending the Revs’ goal since 2009, Shuttleworth, 28, has made 97 appearances with New England. So far in the 2015 season, he has made 22 starts, posting an 8-8-6 record – including wins in the Revs’ past two games – posting six shutouts. On March 28, he became the second goalkeeper in Revolution history to tally 30 career wins when the club beat San Jose.

In 2014, he played a major role in the club’s MLS Cup run. Shuttleworth set career-highs by appearing in and starting 32 games, compiling a 16-12-4 record and a 1.25 goals against average with eight shutouts.

The Revolution signed Shuttleworth on June 18, 2009, on a free transfer from the Austin Aztex of the United Soccer League. Prior to his professional career, he played three seasons at the University of Buffalo, where he posted a 20-7-7 record and a career GAA of 0.80.
