Revs look to reprise last week's performance vs. D.C.

It wasn’t an impeccable performance by any means, but Revolution coach Jay Heaps would certainly be pleased if his squad showcases the same initiative and industry seen last week when the opening whistle screeches at RFK Stadium on Saturday against D.C. United.

After playing a scintillating brand of soccer in San Jose, the Revolution not only snapped their season-opening goal drought, but they relentlessly pressed the issue until the game-winner arrived in stoppage time. And, according to Heaps, it all boiled down to one simple concept.

"I felt like it was really good energy,” Heaps told the media on Wednesday. “I think our mindset was really good, and guys did an excellent job following what we wanted to do tactically. I thought we did a nice job pressuring, had some good chances, stayed strong the whole game, and finished it well."
