FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Jay Heaps has never been a firm believer in judging an opponent by its record – especially when that record isn’t all that impressive.
To no one’s shock, the Revolution coach isn’t taking the struggling Columbus Crew (5-7-8, 23 points) lightly going into Saturday’s first meeting of the season between the longtime conference foes.
“You tend not to correlate results with how you’re preparing for a team,” Heaps said. “What I like to look at is the function of how they move, what they bring and Columbus is a very good team.”
