Just as the dust was settling from Sunday’s blockbuster move for Jermaine Jones, the New England Revolution made another addition by acquiring Dutch international Geoffrey Castillion via free transfer on Monday
Castillion, a 23-year-old target striker, most recently featured with Dutch Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen, where he scored twice in nine games while on loan from Ajax. He will officially join the club upon receipt of his P1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate.
“Geoffrey is a big, strong target forward with several years of experience in the Dutch first division,” Revolution general manager Michael Burns said in a club release on Monday. “He will add a different dynamic to our attack and also give us more options up front. Once he finalizes the immigration process, we’re looking forward to getting him right into training.”
