PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Kelyn Rowe scored his sixth goal in five U.S. Open Cup contests to lead the New England Revolution to a 2-1 fifth-round victory over the Rochester Rhinos on Wednesday at Stevenson Field.

Rowe’s 33rd minute goal proved to be the decider in a match that saw Saer Sene open the account in the 11th minute while Colin Rolfe grabbed one for the Rhinos in the 55th minute.

Rochester was forced to play short-handed in stoppage time after Babacar Diallo was red carded in the 90th minute for a harsh challenge on Patrick Mullins.
