Red-hot Revs extend streak with 2-1 win over D.C.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Diego Fagundez’s 77th minute goal extended the New England Revolution’s unbeaten streak to seven as they grabbed a 2-1 win over D.C. United on Saturday at Gillette Stadium.

Fagundez scored the winner after he slipped through a pass from Teal Bunbury and beat Bill Hamid. Fagundez’s strike came shortly after a Fabian Espindola goal arrived in the 73rd minute. Patrick Mullins scored his fourth goal in as many games in the 55th minute.

D.C. finished the match shorthanded after Eddie Johnson was issued a straight red card in the 82nd minute.
