FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – It wasn’t as impressive as their last two wins, but the fact that the Revolution didn’t reach the five-goal mark for the third straight week was of little concern to Teal Bunbury.

After a frustrating first half in which they were kept off the board by a strong D.C. defense, the Revolution broke through before the hour and found a way to grab the game-winner late en route to a 2-1 win over United.

“For us, it’s another win,” Bunbury said. “It doesn’t matter if it’s close, (or) if it’s by six goals. By one goal, it just shows our resilience, our character. Everyone’s putting the work in from the first minute to the 90th minute.”
