Introduced on Tuesday as member of the New England Revolution, US men's national team star Jermaine Jones said US coach Jurgen Klinsmann was key in his decision to join Major League Soccer.
"He was one who pushed me to make that step, to come back and play for MLS," Jones said. "It was open between two teams [a blind draw between New England and Chicago]. A lot of people were reading that I wanted to play for Chicago. That point was not true...New England Revolution pushed so bad that they wanted me, and when you get that feeling that someone has pushed so badly to want you, then I said OK, I'll go to New England."
