Manchester New Hampshire's Charlie Davies made his first home start for the Revolution, and he was excited about the result.
Talking to Dalen Cuff and Kristine Lilly on Postgame Live, the striker reflected on the first goal that got the Revs started during their 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids.
"I think it was very important for us tonight," said Davies. "I think we knew if we scored first, we were going to get the win tonight. I think we all kind of felt the pressure come off of us and then we could start to play freely like we have for most of the season."
The Revolution are now 7-0 when they score first in a match.
"It kind of wakes everybody up," explained Davies. "It gives us enthusiasm and energy… What you saw was everyone giving 110% tonight and really pushing it and showing we wanted to win this game."
