Revs forward Jerry Bengtson is going away to play for his country. He has been called up to play for Honduras during the country’s upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Mexico and Panama.
 
Honduras is currently ranked 43rd in the world in the most recent FIFA rankings. Its game with 20th-ranked Mexico is on Sept. 6, in Mexico City. On Sept. 10, Honduras hosts No. 40 Panama in Honduras.
 
Bengtson will depart the Revs on Saturday, Aug. 31 after their match at Toronto. He'll miss the team’s game against Montreal on Sept. 8, and should be back on Sept. 12.
 
Bengtson has 35 appearances for Honduras in his career and has scored 16 international goals.
