The Patriots suffered a severe blow in their 30-23 victory over the Falcons Sunday as Vince Wilfork tore his Achilles tendon and will most likely be out for the remainder of the season.
The news was first reported by Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe and confirmed by CSNNE.com's Tom E. Curran.
Wilfork was carted off the field during the first quarter of New England's 30-23 win over Atlanta on Sunday night. He was later announced as "questionable" to return with an ankle injury.
