The Patriots are in need of depth at the tight end position.

The team could find a "move" tight end to compliment Rob Gronkowski, or they could find someone to play Gronk-style because of his injury history.

Tom E. Curran broke down the Patriots' options.

Dare to Dream

Eric Ebron - North Carolina

6'4", 250lbs

John Mackey Award finalist. 62 receptions, 973 yards, 3 touchdowns last season.

"He can go and get [the football], he can block, he's extremely fast." said Curran, "If the Patriots are going to get him, they'll have to move up to do it."

Hold the Line

Austin Seferian-Jenkins - Washington

6'5", 262lbs

21 touchdowns in 3 seasons at Washington

or

Jace Amaro - Texas Tech

6'5", 265lbs

106 receptions, 7 touchdowns last season

Bargain Bin

C.J. Fiedorowicz - Iowa

6'5", 265lbs

299 reception yards, 6 touchdowns last season

"Built like Gronk, smooth, runs hard after the catch." said Curran, "He can also let Gronk play a little bit of the Hernandez role - on the field."
